Being pregnant can be a wonderful experience but it may also come with some challenges like “morning sickness” (up to 85% of women experience some form of morning sickness), frequent trips to the bathroom, recurrent doctor appointments, etc.

Working While Pregnant Slide 1

You might feel tired as your body works overtime to support your pregnancy. You may find you need to take more frequent breaks throughout the day to compensate. The Mayo Clinic offers a few suggestions such as:

  • Take short frequent breaks to change positions, stretch or walk around.
  • Drink plenty of water.
  • Have snacks. Good nutrition is very important.
  • Maintain a fitness routine, as advised by your physician.
  • Get your rest; make the time to have a good night’s sleep.
  • Minimize stress-use effective strategies to manage any conflict/frustrations that arise and practice the relaxation techniques that work best for you.
